An Outlook Drive resident reported to police in Darien that a notification from a home security video system went off shortly before noon on Tuesday, Feb. 25, when a dark-colored SUV pulled in front of her residence.
According to police, the resident watched as a passenger exited the SUV, took the mail from the mailbox, returned to the vehicle and sped away.
Police said that there was a credit card application in the outgoing mail which contained a copy of her driver’s license.
The incident is being investigated by Darien Police detectives. Anyone with information regarding the stolen mail has been asked to contact investigators by calling (203) 662-5300.
